VISA INFORMATION

Those travelling into Australia from another country (other than New Zealand where special rules exist) are required to apply in advance for a visa allowing entry into the country.

Many different types of entry visas are issued by the Government of Australia. The exact type depends on a number of factors, including type of visa being sought, the nationality of your passport, age, etc. The Government of Australia provides an online tool to determine the type and cost of the visa required for your own situation. See links at right to tools and information provided by the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection.

You are urged to apply for a visa no later than six weeks prior to travel.

Residents of some countries may now apply for a visa online while others will need to apply at an Australian Embassy, Consulate or High Commission.

Please visit the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs website HERE for more information on each visa category to determine which one is best suited for your application. For information on some of the more common visa options, click the links below.
